Lost Sphear is a new JRPG by Square Enix's Tokyo RPG Factory
May 31, 2017
If you've played I Am Setsuna, you most likely agree that the "ancient" JRPG genre still has a lot to offer in this day and age. That's why you'll be happy to hear that the studio that worked on it, Square Enix's Tokyo RPG Factory, is currently developing a new JRPG title that will follow a similar art style and battle system: Lost Sphear.
Set to be released in early 2018, Lost Sphear is yet another game that will take you on a quest to save the world while gathering a party of interesting characters. Here's what Tokyo RPG Factory had to say about it:
The adventure of LOST SPHEAR begins in a remote town where a young boy, Kanata, awakens from a devastating dream to find his hometown disappearing. To stop the world from being lost forever, Kanata and his comrades set out to rebuild the world around them with the power of Memory by manifesting thoughts into matter.
Expanding upon the beloved features from their debut title, I Am Setsuna™, LOST SPHEAR features an enhanced gameplay system with a revamped ATB battle system where players can strategize and freely adjust their placement mid-fight, seamless environments, and various locations to explore.
Still not convinced you'll be getting your healthy dose of JRPG? Then, this announcement trailer may change your mind.
