Mechanical keyboard switches that are backlight SMD-LED compatible. Compatible with the GMMK keyboard. Comes in various flavors.
The heart of any mechanical keyboard. These mechanical switches are manufactured and produced by Gateron, and are fully compatible with our Glorious Modular Mechanical Keyboard. Gateron is the first mechanical switch that brings noticeable improvements over the original Cherry switches that have dominated the market.
The primary difference between Gateron and Cherry switches is, the Gateron switches are much smoother, and bumps are more tactile. It brings a whole new typing and gaming experience, and is growing quickly in popularity within the Mechanical Keyboard scene. The smoothness of each Gateron switch stroke can be best described as: sliding a hot knife through butter.
These Gateron switches are fully SMD-LED compatible, (+) stem, and have a rated lifetime of 50 million cycles. The switches were designed to be used with our Glorious Modular Mechanical keyboard, but can be used with other keyboards and DIY projects just fine.

Noise Level when Typing
What does it feel like?
The lightest switch available, ideal for people who prefer a softer touch when using their keyboard. Minimizes finger fatigue.
The ideal, and most common switch preferred by gamers. Smooth as butter, allowing rapid execution of the keys.
If the Red switch is too light, then this is your best bet. Still smooth, but requires more force to press down.
For those who love the click and clack of a keyboard. Generates a loud click and tactile bump when a key is pressed. Popular for typing and programmers. Note: clacking will annoy your peers.
The heaviest switch available. For those who love the click and clack of a keyboard. Generates a loud click and tactile bump when a key is pressed. Popular for typing and programmers.
A hybrid between a Linear and Clicky switches. Does not generate a click when pressed, but the tactile bump is still present. Ideal for those who want a tactile bump and work around peers.
There are three main categories of mechanical keyboard switches: linear, clicky, and tactile.
Typically, the decision comes down to personal preference, and there has been no proven difference on a particular switch providing advantage over another.
Sometimes it disconnects and reconnects if i dont use it for a while, not sure if its a power save mode or malfunction
The switches are good
I built my keyboard with a clear switches and the space bar is too heavy for the clear switch. If you are making a keyboard with clears make sure you have a black switch for the space bar. I would recommend getting the sample pack.
Never had a mechanical keyboard before (never even tried one) so make of this what you will: I'm a very happy customer and I feel like every keyboard before this was somehow "fake". Only problem is that now I can't stand my cheap work setup...
I really like the feel of the Gateron Brown (again, the only mechanical switches I ever had), and it was a good choice to had the extra ring for dampening the sound a little bit. The leds shine through in all their cheesy glory, and I like it more than I think it should.
I came across Glorious products somewhere online, can't remember if it was a Reddit post, a Youtube video or some other review source... They had in stock exactly what I was looking for and the Black Friday discount more than made up for the shipment and custom expenses.
The switches feel really smooth but I was coming off of some old Razer switches that were clacky and the transition to browns at first felt a little different, once i got used to them they feel awesome and their responsiveness feels great.
