Premium, ultra-durable & ultra-glide mouse feet for various models of the Glorious mice.
Glorious G-Floats are our premium, ultra-durable and ultra-smooth mouse feet, designed for all our Glorious mice. The G-Floats are made from Polished Ceramic, giving you the most amazing, satisfying, and consistent glide you have ever experienced. So frictionless you'll feel like your mouse is floating!
With just the right balance of speed and stopping power, our G-Floats will forever change how you game.
Love using a hard pad but tired of changing out your skates? The unique materials and construction of the G-Floats greatly increases the lifespan. They will almost never wear down, giving you consistently high performance years after your first use.
For gamers who prefer insane speed, G-Floats pair excellent with our Helios pad. Or use it with our cloth pads if you prefer more control.
So what is the difference between G-Skates vs G-Floats?
G-Skates are constructed from a soft 100% pure Virgin PTFE that gives you a smooth and controlled glide. They are the industry gold standard, but do tend to wear out over time, especially on certain surfaces.
G-Floats are constructed from a hard, Polished Ceramic compound, tooled to fit their respective Glorious mouse model. These provide an extremely fast and consistent glide. Due to their construction, Float's have an extremely long life-span and do not wear out easily.
The type of mousepad you use could significantly affect the performance of your G-Skates or G-Floats. The table below can give you a general idea (note: this performance may vary between specific brands and surface-materials):
Size O and O-
I bought these thinking that they would glide better than the g skates on my cloth mousepad, but they actually grip the mousepad a lot more than the g skates do. Not recommended if you are looking for a better glide with a cloth mousepad.
Thank you for making such a wonderfull product you have kept ratny nation happy!
These things are great! So much better than the g floats that come with the mouse and you will never need to replace them!
I bought this product hoping it would perform better than the G-Skates on my cloth mousepad. However I probably should've done more research as these feet stick a lot more than the G-Skates on my cloth pad. I tested it on some hard surfaces (I don't have a hard pad) and its like the mouse is floating on air. I would definitely recommend this if you use a harder pad, just know that you will have nearly zero stopping power. However for me on my cloth pad the performance was significantly decreased.
Also the finish is amazing. Literally a mirror finish. I may actually buy a hard pad and see if I like it more on that, however in the mean time I'm stuck with a "sticky" mouse.
Used on Helios.
I used the Lexip Ceramic feet before these came out (put them on my MMO mouse now that I have g-floats). The lexip mouse feet glide more smoothly, in a situation I could only attribute to the shape of the dots. Having more coverage doesn't seem to work in ceramics favor. What does work in its favor is you dont need to grind down the lips that hold the skates in other to achieve 100% stability.
Basically if they made them rounded like the lexips and released a mouse with the proper ability to fit them it would be significantly better. I guess this could be a positive for some as its slower and more "controlled". One thing it achieves despite being a bit slow is consistent friction when you start and stop motion.
Still better then PTFE feet imo, ceramics dont develop a squeak. They also dont change daily, weekly, or even monthly. Ceramic feet feel the same day to day. These get a 3-star because they dont feel as good as the Lexip feet. Despite being a heavier mouse my weight gutted g-600 glides smoother with the same amount of 'control'.
If you're used to hard pads then you know control based on surface is a myth. Ceramics in general dont change that at all, they are more consistent and you get more feedback, especially on the parts of your Helios that have not ground down to smooth. PTFE absorb some feedback, but these are hard so you feel EVERYTHING. G-Floats provide less feedback than the Lexips, but once again you dont have to grind down the lips to achieve perfect stability.
TLDR: They wont make your aim better, but they will make aiming feel better. If you're used to fast hardpads then your flicks will be more consistent since there is no ramp up friction.(what I call physical acceleration sliders :P) Your long drags will feel better because the glide is consistent throughout. Treat yourself to ceramics if you swear by hard pads, chances are you're gonna love em. If you use cloth pads i'd recommend staying with PTFE, I tried these on cloth pads and it just doesnt feel as good. A thinner cloth pad would probably fare better then the thicker one I have in my closet.
