Compact ISO (62 keys). Select your own combo of switches & keycaps. Will require you to insert switches/keycaps before using the keyboard.
Trying out different switches, replacing old ones, and matching several types of mechanical keyboard switches used to be difficult and required advanced technical skill. The patent pending Glorious Modular Mechanical Keyboard (GMMK) is the world’s first mechanical keyboard featuring hot-swappable switches for Cherry, Gateron, and Kailh branded switches.
Ever wonder what Gateron Blues felt like? Or what is the craze behind the Cherry MX clears? Want to use Gateron Reds for your WASD, but Gateron Blacks for all your other keys? With the GMMK, you no longer have to purchase an entire new keyboard, or disassemble and solder your switches – you can simply pop out the switch just like a keycap, and mix/match to test out and use any combination of switches you desire.

Am I beautiful?
After using a Ducky One 2 Mini for a while now I bought the GMMK Compact (Gateron Brown/ISO-DE Layout). The build quality of the chassis is great, the keyboard is (even without switches and keycaps) heavier than the Ducky one. I don't like the Gateron Brown switches as much as the Cherry MX Brown switches from the Ducky board, they feel a lot "mushier" to me and it feels like they are squaking a bit pushing them down. Also I don't like the ABS keycaps. They feel a bit cheap as they have a pretty slippery surface compared to the "matte" PBT keycaps of the Ducky.
I loved the ability of the Ducky to use my CapsLock key as an FN key. This gets enabled by a DIP-switch and leads to both, the CapsLock key AND the FN key being FN keys. By pressing FN+CapsLock on the GMMK I can enable this functionality too but with a slight difference: The CapsLock and the FN key get swapped. So the CapsLock key is an FN key but the old FN key is now a CapsLock key. I would like to use both as an FN key, this is not possible on the GMMK yet.
Also the default FN layer is a bit awkward for me because of two reasons: I expected the Delete key to be at FN+Backspace but it's on FN+ä (a german umlaut on the side of the Enter key).
Another reason is that I used the GMMK utility software to configure a custom LED mode I liked and I'm so used to using hjkl (vim-bindings) in most of my tools but sometimes theres no way around the arrow keys in the software I use. The arrow keys are mapped to FN+jkil (resembling the original arrow key layout). Out of habit I accidentally pressed FN+h a few times now to emulate the left arrow. It would be fine for me if this just doesn't work but FN+h immediately puts the keyboard in full epilepsy-mode. And according to the manual theres no shortcut to get the keyboard back into the first custom mode so when this happens I just turn the LED off with FN+Tab.
I personaly love everything about this keyboard. But I would love it a lot more if there was white variant.
The build quality is great, the customizability with the hot-swap is a very nice feature and the overall function of it is great. The fault I have with the keyboard is the stabilizers. My spacebar rattles for no obvious reason when you press it. This has been somewhat improved by putting lube on the wire and the stabilizer, but it sucks badly that I even need to have this problem. It still rattles, but a bit less than before. I am very disappointed by this and I hope that this issue gets fixed for the later generations of the keyboard, because the experience I am having with the stabilizers are not ok.
It is a very beautiful keyboard with a beautiful finish, I like its weight.
In addition, you are the only ones I know of who offers compact ISO azerty versions, but it's unfortunate that on the compact azerty version there are not the functions on the edge (I understand if the sales volume is too small).
If you manufacture a compact ISO version but with dedicated Up, Down, Left, Right, Delete keys. I buy it instantly.
I'm sorry if my English is not good.
Thank you very much.
Awesome keyboard! Really love the build quality and function!
Only one minor thing i don't like is micro-usb. Should be usb-c.
Still a great product!
